Back To Square One: Where Do I Begin?

Lonely Panda

After 7 years, here I am; back to square one. Yup, some viewed us as the perfect example that going to stood to the test of time but somehow, it just breaks apart. I can't even grasp the logic behind the reason but surely, I'm not going to seek for further answer as I'm afraid that I'm able to handle the absolute truth. I only tell myself if its not meant to be, even a 1000 years civilization can just go poof.

Hence, I'm pretty lost now. I'm now in an unfamiliar environment. I've no idea where to begin.

Should I move away and build a new life? I always like Singapore and there might be couple of opps that I can pursue over there...Indonesia, Japan and Korea sounds fun too. If US Embassy is not a visa-denying bitch, I want to go there as well...

Or...should I start partying to bury my sorrow? Like a G6, huh...

Or...should I enroll back in school and take a course that I always wanted to? Uni is always fun but being an old fuck, I doubt its that fun anymore unless I've to become a lecturer or research officer or something...

Or...should I just lie on the bed, face the pillow and sleep away on daily basis, just hope the best will fall down from the sky?

The only thing I know right now is that I need a new watch. The one that I wore everyday for the past few years has unexpectedly reached its expiry date.

O Hai Penang!

So, here I am, at Pulau Pinang - The Pearl of The Orient. My last trip here was actually just few years ago with my family but this is actually the first time I come here by my own, so it is much more interesting to explore this place personally.

Provided that I don't pancit from the Penang Bridge International Marathon's 10K tomorrow morning, of course. XD Wish me all the best, friends. :D

They Don't Create Great Love Songs Like This Anymore...

If You Leave Me Now - Chicago

If you leave me now
You'll take away the biggest part of me
Ooo no, baby please don't go

And if you leave me now
You'll take away the very heart of me
Ooo no, baby please don't go
Ooo girl, I just want you to stay

A love like ours is love that's hard to find
How could we let it slip away?
We've come too far to leave it all behind
How could we end it all this way?
When tomorrow comes and we'll both regret
the things we said today.

If you leave me now,
you'll take away the biggest part of me.
Ooo no, baby please don't go.

Ooo, girl, I've got to have you by my side.

Ooh, no, baby please don't go...

This song somehow got stuck to my head today. Maybe because it has something to do with what happened to me recently...

Oh well, its a very nice song anyway. They are not much everlasting songs anymore these days, never mind great love song like this anymore...

An Ode To Ramona

Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

Ramona - Beck (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

There's nothing left to hide
You can see it in my eyes
Oh I've tried to be who I thought you wanted

And if it's all a lie
The truth's not far behind
We could try to live right for the moment

Ramona

If only I had known
It's less than what I felt
Why should I have nothing to fear from?

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is an awesome movie. Doesn't matter if UIP Malaysia - the distributor - didn't want to show them here due to whatever reason they may have, grab it in anyway you can and WATCH it. Then buy the genuine Blu-Ray or DVD online (buying mine next month) or when it comes here as you might want to watch it again and again and again plus all the awesome goodies!

Don't forget about the movie inspiration - Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series - too. But for this one, buy ori ok? Available at Kinokuniya or if you willing to spend and wait a bit, get em box set. Am gonna do that next month or in Jan. :D

Have It Your Way

Have it your way,
its your will over mine.

So just take it all,
and turn me inside out.
Just don't leave me in the dark.

Its not like it could mean a thing against you and the grand scheme of things.
So i'll wait for the next pending option.
You could say i've fallen from grace,
but was i even there in the first place.

So you could just take it, take it all
and turn me inside out.
Just don't leave me in the dark.

This beautiful music is sung by Inch Chua, taken from her album Wallflower. Go download it for free at www.inchchua.com.

One Hundred KM in 20 Days?

So, the story goes that someone has invited...no no no, more like issued a challenge to me: run 100KM within 20 days. There is some ranking or punishment involved but that is not important. What is important is the distance and duration. Unless you are already a long distance runner, I bet your mind has been blown just like mine.

So...

Am I ready for it? - Nowhere near, to be honest.

Will I able to complete it? - Most probably not.

Did I accept the challenge? - HECK YEAH.

Just do it, man.

Let's Get It Started

Step by step, like the infant new kid
Inch by inch, with the new solution
Transmit hits, with no delusion
The feeling's irresistible and that's how we move it, yo.
- Let's Get It Started, Black Eyed Peas.
I still think this song is still one of the best that the group ever produced. Not to mention, the video was pretty canggih too and captured the song's energy very well.

Meanwhile...yup, let's get it started. Let's do this.

Hello August, You Looked Different This Year

Usually, I would be pretty busy during August since traditionally, its the month for WCG Asian Championship and WCG Malaysia. Somehow this year, both happened last month...which explained why my world went haywired with sleepless night and zombie face whole month long.

In the middle of the madness that is July, I also somehow found my perfect writing timing but am not able to follow it continuously due to various reasons. So, that would be my main priority this month. I hope I'll able to finally be consistent from this month onwards even if the flow gets interrupted for any given reason.

Also, puasa is going to start in few days time. So, yeah... :)

My Impressions: The New Manchester United 2010/2011 Home Kit

Well, I bet everybody already saw the new Manchester United home kit for 2010/2011. Even though it was manufactured with the same process - made from recycled bottles! - as Nike's jerseys for the recent World Cup teams but honestly...I'm not really a fan of the new design.

Sure, the classic design is homage to the team's jersey at Old Trafford 100 years ago but I still love last year's Star Trek-like jersey better . This might be because of the modernist in me but it doesn't matter - as Manchester United supporter, the new design is going to grow on me eventually. Heck, I might chop one too...but let's see the away design 1st, which according to some leaked photo, looked better IMHO.

One more photo of the most glorious football team in the world's new kit, right after the jump.

Under The Weather

Ever since I came back from Singapore, this is how I felt every day. I wonder what the hell did I caught from the country since couple of other guys that were there with me at Singapore also got sick.

Having to go through WCG Malaysia last weekend didn't help my recovery as well. With a run happening next week which I'm totally not prepared at all, I guess I just have to embrace the suck.

Waving Jalur Gemilang At Singapore Expo

Because you got to let them know where you come from. I'm currently in Singapore for the WCG Asian Championship 2010, babysitting administrating Team Malaysia at the event. Throughout the weekend, we are competing in several games - DoTA, FIFA 10 and Forza Motorsport 3 - against top gamers from 12 other countries.

Compared to the previous two years where I compete in Guitar Hero series (by force - long story), this time around my role is purely administrative. Team Malaysia did pretty good yesterday as all our players have qualified to the next stage. Wish us all the best, alright? You can follow the team's progress through Multiplay.LYN and couple of eSports sites across the net. :)

I Hate Mac.

Because they are overpriced, that's why. That being said, the biggest reason of them all is actually due to the sad amount of games available for Macs.

Don't feel offended yah, fanbois. Each of his own opinion. ;)

Its Hard To Work At Home

Why is that so? Is it because the warmth of one's home? Or is it because the relaxing and soothing vibe? Or is it all three factors and more? Or...I'm just a lazy bugger?

I don't know, man...but this weekend, I'm going to do work. Here, at home. DUN DUN DUN~

MUST COP, URGHH: Nike Pixel Logo Limited Edition T-Shirt

Sorry for the blurry piktar; cannot retake because abang salesperson at Nike Store in Pavilion KL didn't let me snap this fine piece of clothing to share around. Part of the Limited Edition Air Collection, I really want it because as you might know, pixels kinda relates a lot to video games of yesterday years. 8-bit Mario Bros, anyone?

Price-wise...ain't cheap but ain't too expensive either at RM 109 per pop. There's a better picture of it right after the break...or you can see it yourselves at the nearest Nike or Nike Sportswear stores.

Tentang Seseorang

Ku lari ke hutan, kemudian menyanyiku
Ku lari ke pantai, kemudian teriakku
Sepi...Sepi dan sendiri, aku benci
Ingin bingar, aku mau di pasar..
Bosan aku dengan penat
Enyah saja kau pekat
Seperti berjelaga jika ku sendiri

Pecahkan saja gelasnya biar ramai
Biar mengaduh sampai gaduh
Ada malaikat menyulam jaring labah-labah belang di tembok keraton putih
Kenapa tidak kau goyangkan saja locengnya biar terdera
Atau aku harus lari ke hutan
Belok ke pantai...?

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World New Trailer Is Too Damn Awesome

Even though Lucas (my colleague) is not happy about Micheal Cera becoming Scott Pilgrim (I understand why after reading all six volumes of Scott Pilgrim comic book, courtesty of him), I already excited for the comic series silver screen adaption since it's first trailer. Maybe due to the fact that there are a lot of video games references them.

The newly released trailer above made me drool pretty bad already. CAN'T.WAIT.FOR.AUGUST.URRGHHHHHHH.

How The Music Making Nike Free Run+ Comes Into Reality

Fine beats, aren't them? Yes, those shoes on Hifana's hand are the Nike Free Run+ - the very shoe that I wrote here about a month ago.

My colleague, Lucas actually posted about them on Lowyat.NET front page. If you go into the fine details of the article, you would found out that these one-off custom shoes - means that, you are not able to find them among those Free Run+ at nearby Nike dealers - were fitted with sensors that are hooked up into a set of softwares and mixers, so that the shoe is able that response with mad beats to every bent, steps and etc.

Hence, making them 100% legit musical instruments. If you kinda skeptical about the shoes ability, then check out this awesome behind-the-scene video right after the break. It should be able to give you some clear picture of the whole music-shoe process.

Reviewed @ Lowyat.NET: Razer Orochi Bluetooth Laser Gaming Mouse

The Razer Orochi Bluetooth Laser Gaming Mouse. Yes, a bit handful there, I know.

Man, when was the last time I did a post on this series? January? WTF...ok, let's play some catch-up game then.

Back in January, I received a rather special product for review - a wireless mouse. Not any ordinary wireless mouse, its is a wireless GAMING mouse. I rolled my eyes and then said, "Gaming-grade wireless mouse? Really?".

You see, in general, gamers does not believe in wireless mouse. The reason is pretty simple - lag or latency. Not to forget, this particular product is a Bluetooth wireless mouse some more which has a rather poor history when it comes to performance.

But then, this is a product from world-famous Razer. As they are strictly performance-oriented outfit, they must know what are they doing when they choose to develop the Razer Orochi Bluetooth Laser Gaming Mouse. That being said, my skepticism has to be maintained. Plus, my history with other Bluetooth mouse were just bad. So I only have one requirement for Orochi: it must not suck as many other Bluetooth mouse out there.

Well, how it turned out in the end? Aha...for that, you just have to find out the full lowdown yourself, by checking out the full review at Lowyat.NET. =D

Energizer Night Race 2010: Completed!

Energizer Night Run 2010 10k Finisher's Medal
My first running medal, w00t! It was only 10km though. Baby steps, people. Baby steps.

It felt pretty good to complete the Energizer Night Race 2010. Not only that it is my first event and I actually finished it in one piece, I also reached the finish line faster than I expected: 69 minutes. That is like 12 minutes faster than my previous personal best, wohoo!

The event was OK, I guess as I didn't even get the chance to walk around the carnival area. Majority of the staff that I met were friendly and helpful. However, if there was anything major during the run, I would say that the traffic control was chaotic. The lane for runners were not marked well and there were couple of times that we have to run in between cars especially at the stretch in front of MMU/Cyberia.

So, what's next? I would say the Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2010 in June. No no no, I'm not gonna go for a full marathon; will still stick to 10k. Of course, it is still a plan for the time being, but I really looking forward to be there. :)

Jump in to see a number of selected photos from the Energizer Night Race 2010. Do note that there are almost 20 pictures, so I would suggest to hit my Picasa gallery - http://bit.ly/cVoWnm - instead, if you want to save some time.

Woah, It's The Nike Free Run+!

The Nike Free Run+, hubba hubba hubba [Click to enlarge in a new window]

When I saw this at RunWitMe, I was like "A new Nike Free? Say whaaaaat~". Seriously, Nike Free is the most comfortable shoe I've ever wear in my entire life. Ok, maybe not for all things (its wide sole made it horrible to wear during gaming with Logitech G25 - maybe only me, I don't know) - but I really like it. That's why I'm still wearing the original Nike Free 5.0 given by my missus - it was hers originally - even though its already battered up to the pulp.

So, back to the new Nike Free Run+, another reason why I'm so psyched about it is because the Nike+ support has finally been added to the Nike Free line. More reason for me to cop this baby, mmm hmmm.

Well, it's still not out yet, so I hope one day I'll get a chance to wear it. Then only I can tell you how the new Free Run+ feels compared to my original Free. I'm sure there are going to be lotsa differences. Newer should be better, right? XD

DeInspiration Thoughts: Keep Your Enemies Closer...Isn't That Your Best Friend?

Chief Chapree | Image hosting by Imageshack.us

Sun-tzu once said this in his famous military manual book - The Art of War: "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer". Normally, the closest person to us is usually our best friend. Isn't that mean our best friend is actually our enemy?

No wonder the world are so paranoid these days. Heh.

Nike Sportswear Six Collaborations: The Alternative National Team Kits

Chief Chapree | Image hosted by Imageshack.us

The World Cup 2010 is going to start in less than 3 months and related football merchs already start to appear on the market for us the footie-holics to fathom on. Not only jerseys but t-shirt, polos, shoes...anything that could let fans show their support of the team.

So does Nike, with a new collection that they dubbed the Nike Six Collaborations. What they did is they asked six artists from six nations to come out with a badge, mascot, print and an alphabet in their handwriting style. Their artworks are then transferred into N98 Track Jacket, AW 77 hoodie, kit tee, polo shirt and short for both men and women; tee for men and tank for women which are also draped with respective team colors.

On top of those fine apparels, the collection is also strengthen by couple of kicks - Nike LunarLite Rejuven8 Mid and Air Max BW Gen II, together such as Air Zoom Tiempo, Dunk High AC, Air Footscape Freemotion and Nike LunarLite Chukka Woven - that are also going to follow the collaboration's design philosophy.

Being fan of England, having England as part of the collection is pretty cool but since I'm more traditional guy, would prefer a jersey instead, in particularly the team's new away jersey that they showed off at Nike Football Innovation Summit. Still, I am going to check out the collection when they drops by at Nike Sportswear stores. You just got to seem them in real life before giving the final verdict, right?

So, do check out some shots of them together with information about the artists behind each collection, right after the break. Tell me what you think of them...yay or nay?

FFFFUUUU Tales: Can't Sing Man Utd Song In Her Car

Chief Chapree | Image Hosting by Imageshack.us
So worth the trouble.

So, as a Manchester United fanboi, chanting Glory Glory Man United randomly is pretty normal occurances. Yesterday, I did the same while on the way back from the mall with my missus. Then, she said:

"I want to put a new rule. The next time you sing that song, I'll BAN you from my car."

As funny as it might seems, I actually understand the reason behind the threat. Because she is a supporter of Liverpool, that's why.

So lads, avenge our last defeat. GLORY GLORY MAN UNITEEEDDD!! \m/

NOTE: This was written like a day before the match. If you didn't know the outcome, United won by 2 - 1. Revenge have been served, w00t!

Energizer Night Race 2010: Race Vest and Bib Number Settled.

Chief Chapree | Image hosting by Imageshack.us
Got name somemore on the bib number. Meanwhile, that's Adidas ClimaCool outfit, yo.

So, I've pick up my running outfit and bib number on the first collection session last Sunday. Thought I would received the whole goodie bag but instead, I only received those two above. The organizer will pass the rest on the event day itself this coming Saturday.

When I arrived there, there were only XXL and XXXL shirt left. Thought the XXL would be too big for me but noooo, it fits me ngam-ngam. Dayum, I'm fat. T_T

Well, only the big day left now. Can't wait. :)

FFFFUUU Tales: Why Must They Fell Down When I Was Eating?

Chief Chapree | Image Hosting by Imageshack.us
Lucky not like this.

At my university campus, there are food courts located at each hostel's ground floor that is accessible for both male and female. One of them is my favorite lunch joint due their cheap and nice foods.

So one day, I went for lunch there, just like any other day when I'm at campus. I was happily OM NOM NOM-ing, suddenly...."KECEPEK!"...something fell from few floor above that sent water drops towards my lunch; almost landed on them. I was like wat ta farrrrkkk is those thing....

So, I focus my view on them and I recognized it was a pair of men's brief and jeans that were soaking wet. Apakah, people are eating liao! FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

But then, did I stop eating? Hell no. I was hungry. NOMS!

FFFFUUU Tales: No Car, No Marry.

::: Chief Chapree ::: image hosted by Imageshack.us
Mmmmmmm...I rike. But kenot get (for now). :(

So, sometimes ago I asked my missus - "Hon, since now you got car...I don't need to buy one, right? I can go get another bike, right right right right?". In that split milliseconds before she uttered her reply, my head went on to dream and drool about this one bike that I really fond of - Kawasaki ER-6n or ER-6f...fffffuuuhhhhhhh.

Then, the day-dreaming came to an abrupt end when she replied, "NO. Get a car or else, mama will not approves of you.". Awwww, mang. Sad, I has. :(

16 Days To Go: This Is Where I Stand

16 days more left before the Energizer Night Race 2010 takes place. Judging from my last two run recorded by Nike+ above, I would say that things are looking good although for this week, running is in the back seat as I'm a bit swarmed with work.

Nevertheless, I'm moving on to get more road sesh as prior to last week, my runs took place almost entirely on treadmills. Man, are they two different worlds apart or what...personally, road running felt harder due to natural elements such as sun and humidity plus uneven surface, traffics and bunch of other distractions. T_T

It's really tough but what to do, I'm not joining a treadmill event lol. For this week, I'm going to push the distance to 9km and 9.5km for the following week. Hope I'm able to get my running done as I planned. :)

You on Nike+ too? Add me as buddy by searching for the nick "chapree". ;)

A Day At Nike Football Elite Training Live Session

[100210]Nike Elite Training Live - 11

Around two weeks ago, Lowyat.NET was invited by Nike Malaysia to check out their new football grassroot program - through their partnership with Football Association of Malaysia - called Nike Elite Training Live. Taken place at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya, it was not a normal boring presentation since they actually put me and fellow media friends in the field to taste the training ourselves; which are based on Nike Football+ Master Control series developed by Juventus FC.

So, there we were with the Dri-Fit complete jerseys together and the new T90 Laser III boots. Enough with words then; roll on the pics!

Caution: Image-heavy post!

Never Take A Ride With Taxi Drivers That Wears Racing Suit

If you see your taxi driver dons a racing suit, GET THE FUCK OUT. Never trust a driver that wears a racing suit.

Actually, you can always trust them because they definitely can drive superbly good but it ain't going to be comfy for you my friend, LOL.

Energizer Night Race 2010: Let's Go!

::: Chief Chapree ::: - image hosted by Imageshack.us
A preview of the run, this one was from the event at Korea.

Truth to be told, I really like running and sports in general. However, for all my 27 years of life, I only managed to participate in a 15km run once. That was like back in 1997 or 1998 - really like zaman tok kaduk dulu yo.

So, when I felt in love again with running - thanks to my recent encounter with Nike Running (refresher fer ya - 1 2) few months back, I thought to myself "Hey, maybe I should join a proper running event again,". With that, here I am, all excited for the 2nd running event ever in my life - the 10km leg of Energizer Night Race 2010 on 27th March at Cyberjaya.

I originally intended to join the 10km leg of Putrajaya Night Marathon 2010 but I didn't get to register on time. So, imagine my joy when I actually got to register for the Energizer event. Please excuse my overwhelm happiness, LOL. ^___^

Somemore, couple of friends are also joining the run; like Jen (if were not for her FB link, I wouldn't know about the Energizer run), Ganeash, Fazri and Chee Minh together with many others that I've yet to find out. Its always awesome to meet familiar faces, which added to the excitement.

All in all, totally can't wait, yo. Meanwhile, are you joining the run? Buzz me up then! The more the merrrier mah, ho ho ho :D

This Is It: Inmates Dancing With MJ's Actual Choreographer and Dancers

Chief Chapree - image hosted by Imageshack.us

Who watched Micheal Jackson's This Is It at cinemas that day? To cut the story short, while I was fascinated with all the efforts that they did in creating the concert, it was also an emotional movie for me.

You see, I was too young to go to concerts when he made his stop in Malaysia few years ago. I would say that this movie is the closest thing I can get to watching him live, since he's already passed away...

So, while I checking out more information about the movie's home video release, I stumbled upon this excellent video showing the "Dancing Inmates" in Philippines, dancing to the exact same move that MJ would executes at his This Is It show, if he still around.

Hit the jump link for the video.

It Is So Hard These Days

Chief Chapree - Image hosted by Imageshack.us
Pensil patah, yo.

As of late, I found myself having trouble to write. I mean, not that I'm out of things to say or anything. Really, it is still not hard to find a topic/subject to write about but...entahlah.

After I get the initial draft done, I would found myself rewriting them again and again. 1 time...2 times...3 times...5 times...10 times, I lost count. This lead to productivity lost which are really bothering me.

Not only that, this "slowness" would also affect my free time which are already limited as it is, with other commitments such as uni, gym, quality time with missus and family. I felt so disappointed and sad whenever I have to tell the missus that I'm still occupied with work and I would be late in meeting her. I felt sad when I don't get to post here more often and etc etc etc.

It just sucks, you know. All in all, I've no idea why I suddenly becomes like this but I somehow think its related to this "insecure" situation that I found myself into. Yeah, most probably it is because not once in a day that I would not think of it.

The problem is I've no solution for it...more like, I've no time to provide a solution for it. So far, the situation asks me to wait and survive. *tsk tsk tsk* Well, at least I got something to hold onto. Hope things going to change for the better soon.

Mercedes GP Petronas Car For F1 2010 Season

Chief Chapree - Image hosted by imageshack.us

Personally, I was indeed a little bit heartbroken when Mercedes GP (formerly Brawn GP) announced that Petronas has agreed to become their title sponsor. Why not the locally-based (in future) Lotus F1 instead?

But then, it was most probably more like a business decision. I mean Micheal Schumacher weh...lots of company out there would jump at the opportunity, might as well be our national oil and gas company, right? So yeah, life goes on and I was pretty excited to see Mercedes GP Petronas F1 2010 car which was unveiled today.

As per previous Petronas-sponsored BMW Sauber car, the Merc is again not colored in Petronas corporate color. Instead it dons Merc's signature silver color. Some say its weird not having Petronas green on it but for me, having the Petronas (and Malaysia on the sides) name on the machine is already sufficed. To color it green...I'm guess its gonna cost Petronas more or no deal at all.

With Petronas done, now I can't wait to see Lotus F1 car next, scheduled to be launch on 12 February. Please don't let them paint it using the 1Malaysia color scheme. It just plain fugly!!

[Photo credit: Mercedes GP Petronas Facebook Page] A vegetarian leaks.

King Roo Roo Roo Ney Hits The Target, Accuracy Brings The Goal.

Accuracy is a potent weapon. Just see what Rooney did against Hull City last Saturday - not one, not two...but four freaking goals. There could be more but it was enough to put moi favorite team on top of the league. Even if it is not going to be for long.

Of course, all the goals would not be possible without the collective efforts from everybody at the most glorious team on earth that is Manchester United. Some also said that Hull City was too easy...whatever, man. Three goals in just 10 minutes; Rooney was just plain ridiculous that night.

Oh, wassup with this new vid from Nike Football? Spot fellow Nike Total 90 Laser III owner - Fernando Torres - there? He scored hatrick against Hull City too, back in September. Don't think it was a coincidence there. ;)

One Fine Saturday at MAS Touchdown @ SKYPARK Terminal

Ahhh...Subang's Terminal 3. Now with a new name, SKYPARK Terminal, I used to went through this place a lot of time during school holidays back when I studied in Kota Bharu. This was before everything shifted to KLIA...so yeah, haven't been there for quite a while.

Three pesawat with Pesawat's autograph. Berapa banyak pesawat daaaaa...

Since I pretty much go to airport only to fly in and fly out (haven't got the chance to do in quite a long while); or to pickup/greet people, I felt a bit weird coming to airport for casual visit. But it was all good, because we were there for MAS Touchdown @ SKYPARK Terminal event. Story continues after the jump.

On To 2010!

Chief Chapree - images hosted by ImageShack.us
This mighty Saturn V represents what I want my 2010 to be. I hope that through this year, it will reach greater heights. =D

My 2010 resolution list is very long...and repetitive. It mostly consisted of "I have to [fill in the blank] this year so that I will [fill in the blank]". Many of them are very personal to me, so I'm make it very simple.

"2010 = next level."

To elaborate it a bit further, I would say 2010 is the year that I'm going to mend things, fix + build relationship, fulfill broken/empty promises and of course, grab + re-grab opportunities. They are my next levels and with that, great days are coming ahead, my friends.

Yosh, ikimashou! =)

Reviewed @ Lowyat.NET: The 2009 Nike+ SportBand

Image hosted by Imageshack.us. © 2009 www.lowyat.net / Photo by: Syefri Zulkefli.

Another week, another review. This time, it's the 2009 Nike+ SportBand! Now you know why there's a Nike+ widget on my sidebar hehehe~

So, what is this gizmo all about? It is basically a companion device for people who loves to jog or run out there:

When activated during a run, the Sportband has four type of display mode: distance, pace, duration and calories burned...In addition to that, the Nike+ Sportband is also a watch.

...the Nike Running website is basically a social media platform for Nike+ owners. Users are not only able to keep track of their runs uploaded from the Nike+ Sportband but they can also engage in many activities at the site such as set up personal goals, train with Nike+ Coach program, publish Nike+ activities on Twitter or Facebook, enroll in challenges and also, add other Nike+ owners into their friends list.

That's just a small glimpse of the full review. Do check it out if you are looking for something to spice up your mundane jogging or running sessions. Maybe this device might able to give you just that. It certainly did for me, as written on my Twitter. I really dig its web interface and functions. =D

If you own a Nike+ product whether the Nike + iPod Sport Kit or the SportBand itself, do add me to your friend list by searching for this nick - "chapree" or you can post your nick in the comments section or also, on my Chatbox at this blog's sidebar.

Looking Back Into The Year 2009

Chief Chapree - Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Tong sampah la gamaknya.

Hmm, looking back at 2009...well, it has a fair share of ups and downs. For the first half of the year, it was relatively quiet as I went through classes and all the jazz of college life of a (super) senior.

Second half of 2009 was the period that actually defined my year. I became a full time writer while at the same time, went through my industrial training. Once the training ended, I went back to uni, finished the first part of my final year project and a math class; in between writing duty.

In terms of competitive gaming, there was not much event for us racing gamers and event at those events, my performances was quite bad - 5th place at Go.ESC and 4th place at CELgames'09. Of course, there were also Top 8 at WCG Asian Championship'09 in Guitar Hero World Tour but I qualified to the event just because I'm 2008 rep. It was a rather complicated circumstances which would take another post to explain, so I'm gonna let it be.

Along the way, I also faced with some difficulties. First being the bike accident which left my knees swallon for few months and my movement got restricted for quite a while. Then, my grand dad past away due to cardiac arrest and last not least, the family's favorite cat - Buncit - past away due to kidney failure. She might be just a cat but she is a family too.

Of course, there is another difficulty which has been plaguing me for the past two months but I rather not discuss it here because 1. it's too private; 2. I don't want to be thought as finger pointer or a whiner; 3. it will most probably bore you to death.

So, that's pretty much summed up my 2009. I want to have a fresh start in 2010. Let this be the starting point. :)

P/S: Take a look at Multiplay.LYN New Year's post as well. ;)
