College Marching Band Do Rage Against The Machine Tunes

ChiefChapree.NET | Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

If only school/my uni was this awesome, I would dedicate my time to actually learn taugehs (my nick name for musical notes) proper and join marching band. Oh wai- there were no marching bands in my school/uni. :(

If my mind remembers correctly, the marching band mixed Rage Against The Machine's classic Killing In The Name and Bulls on Parade on this tune. Simply class.

Samsung Big Unveil At Mobile World Congress 2011 : Watch It Live Here!

Ok, maybe it is not that big of unveiling anymore since the Internet is already full with leaked official press shots and tech specs of Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab II but hey, nothing comes close to seeing them to be unveiled live...or at least, through live telecast. Thanks to Samsung, you can watch the telecast right here at my humble blog!

The telecast is scheduled to start at 1:00AM, Monday 14 February (Malaysian time) – which is around 10 minutes from now - and prior to the actual telecast, the player below will be showing the Galaxy S II teaser that Samsung released few days ago. So, grab some snack + drinks and enjoy the show right after the jump!

Note: Alternatively, you can also watch the telecast at Samsung Malaysia’s Univez’s Facebook page over here or at SamsungUnpacked.com. Also, just refresh the page until it shows the actual telecast if you still seeing the teasers after 1:00AM.

Here's To The White Stripes, One of The Greatest Two-Piece Bands Ever

the White Stripes

Like many people in this planet, I was introduced to The White Stripes through Fell In Love With A Girl. Even it is very minimalistic song, it is one hella catchy tune. One more thing about the band is that I really love their music videos especially the stop-motion greatness that is Hardest Button to Button [check it out after the jump].

Because of those two reasons, I'm pretty sad that earlier this month, they have decided to end their journey as a band after close to 14 years together. :(

"The White Stripes do not belong to Meg and Jack anymore. The White Stripes belong to you now and you can do with it whatever you want. The beauty of art and music is that it can last forever if people want it to. Thank you for sharing this experience. Your involvement will never be lost on us and we are truly grateful, " - The White Stripes.

Thanks for the music, Jack and Meg. Even though Jack might have plethora of other music projects such The Racontuers but White Stripes is White Stripes; they are just not the same.

Someday We'll Know.

Yet another sleepless night, yet another song for the broken hearted.

90 miles outside Chicago
Can't stop driving I don't know why
So many questions I need an answer
Two years later you're still on my mind

Whatever happened to Amelia Earhart?
Who holds the stars up in the sky...
Is true love once in a lifetime?
Did the captain of the Titanic cry?

Someday we'll know if love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you

Does anybody know the way to Atlantis
Or what the wind says when she cries
I'm speeding by the place that I met you
For the 97th time...tonight

I bought a ticket to the end of the rainbow
I watched the stars crash in the sea
If I could ask God just one question
Why aren't you here with me...tonight?

Someday we'll know why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know that I was the one for you

Moving on is hard but progress is here. Things have been better and rest assured, it will continue to do so.

What Agger Was Thinking When He Elbowed Torres Last Night

ChiefChapree.NET - Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Yup, I am pretty sure that's exactly what he was thinking when he strike 'em elbow into Torres' face last night. What, missed the match? Then check out the elbow video right after the jump.

Nota Kaki: If you would to join other Scousers Liverpool fans in celebration of "Danny-elbow", you can join the The Day Daniel Agger Elbows Fernando Torres Facebook page or Agger's right elbow appreciation thread at Liverpool's official forums. Can't believe I'm writing about Liverpool but the picture above called for it!

Old Spice Dude Is Back: New Advert Is Now Online

ChiefChapree.NET | Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Seriously, the Old Spice dude campaign is one of the best ever. I actually bought one of the Old Spice body shower after watching the ads repeatedly for...I don't know...20, 30 times at least? It just so hilarious! Plus, the Old Spice dude even made couple of personalized videos for quite a number of people that responded to the campaign. [I've talked about it on Lowyat.NET]

If you can't get enough of the dude - played by Isaiah Mustafa - guess what...he is back with a new ads(plus two more, all to be released officially after the upcoming Super Bowl)! The video is currently - at the time this post is posted - unlisted on YouTube which means you can't find it there directly; so, you can either watch it after the jump or go to this link.

I even include the previous two ads just in case you never heard of the campaign before. Enjoice!

Manchester United's 29 Unbeaten Games Streak Broken By Wolves: I Need Vaseline For Myself

Soothing

What a way to end 29 unbeaten games streak: a defeat at the hand of a bottom-table team. Not just any bottom, it is the most bottom of the table! From what I can see, sloppy defending and haram jadah passing were the reason behind the blasphemy. Even though Nani managed to put Manchester United at the front in just three minutes, the game totally belonged to Wolves.

It could have been worse but nevertheless, I'm so disappointed. I'm so buying Vaseline for myself tomorrow.

Spesel Delivery For Arsenal Sapotters

Soothing

‎To the tune of The Beatles' While My Guitar Gently Weeps

I look at The Gun-ners,
See so much butt-hurt-ism,
While I loud-ly shout for Newcastle...*insert guiatr riff*

From 4-0 behind in 1st half to equalizing the score by full time, Newcastle United was full of win just now. Enjoy the Vaseline, Gunners. I'm sure you need it. XD

Me Gusta: Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Bunny” by SBTG Preview

ChiefChapree.NET | Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

For me, shoes are meant to be worn; not to be displayed inside a display box but of course, there are always exceptions and the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Bunny” by the Singapore-based SBTG is definitely one of them [take a close look at it after the jump]. Am totally turned on by the fierce colors and designs especially that rabbit teeth along the heel area. RAWWWWRR

I bet it going to cost a bomb; just like any given SBTG releases [here's one example at Lowyat.NET Forums]. Nevertheless, if I ever get the chance to own one of these bunny-theme Dunk Lows, I’m still gonna rock ‘em hard…although maybe only for few times per year, lol.

OH HUMANITY: Did The Japs Just F*cking Riced Up Lamborghnis?

ChiefChapree.NET | Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

LED underlights. Pumping strobes. Weird ass graphics and wordings. Overblings.

Gawd, not even a freaking Italian pedigree such as Lamborghini were spared from the hands of Japanese over the top modding culture. Local Ah Bengs can’t even get close to this...heck, Japs are the original bengs; of the highest order, foh suh.

Jump in to see the video...if you dare. Now I can’t look at a Lamborghini without imagining UNCH UNCH UNCH music and blinding strobe lights. Why la why...*facepalm*

Happy Chinese New Year: I’m Pretty Sure Birth Rate Is Going To Increase This Year

Year of the Rabbit

O hai folksies! First and foremost, I would like to wish Gong Xi Fa Chai to all my Chinese friends wherever you may be and for the rest, enjoy you long holidays. May this year will bring more prosperity burger and wholesome awesomeness for everybody.

So, this year is the year of rabbit eh? Somehow, I feel a bit sked. I’m not a Feng Shui Master or fortune teller [haram!] or anything but I somehow feel that this year, the birth rate will rise. When I told my friends about this, many shrugged it and asked “Come on Chap, how come birth rate will rise pulak? Not that Tongkat Ali are getting cheaper or anything...”. Ok, I was also lost at that Tongkat Ali part but yes, I really have a plausible explanation here.

Well, consider this fact: RABBIT LOVES TO HUMP. Those tiny overactive furriers pretty much hentam everything and anything to show their dominance or to mate. While that might be a normal behaviour, consider one more fact: in one single season which usually spawned over a period of 9 months, a single female rabbit can produce up to 800 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

So, since this year is the year of the rabbit, I feel that rabbit-like behaviour will likely to increase. You know, to suit the theme. Hence, I rest my case.

Proton Satria Neo Heading To Japan: High Time To Open Kedai Potong Proton In Tokyo!

ChiefChapree.NET | Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I bet many car affectionados out there already heard that the Japanese performance powerhouse, CUSCO, hearts the Proton Satria Neo very much and is currently preparing the car for N-Group rally drivers over at the Land for the Rising Sun to get their hands on. I predict that sooner or later, Japanese will begin to appreciate the hot hatch.

Because of that, I would like to propose this idea to smart able entrepreneurs out there: open a Proton half-cut chops shop in Japan. I mean, here in Malaysia there are so many half-cut outfit that import Japanese car parts into our country; so why not we do the same there over there eh? Ok, maybe not now, I know that there are not much variety in Proton’s Campro engine line-up. But how about when they start to deliver that turbocharged Campro engine? HE HE HE XD

I personally love Satria Neo and the Satria Neo R3 is one of my dream cars. No no no, not the current Neo CPS...pffff...what I want is a full fledge R3 version [check out the Neo R3 Concept test video right after the jump]. Say whatever you want lah about Proton, I die die oso want one. XD

Hari Wilayah Special: Nike Sportswear and Nike Athletic Dept. x Kuala Lumpur Tees

I'm true blood Selangorian there and there but I actually spent most of my time in Kuala Lumpur since it is where Lowyat.NET HQ is located and it is also pretty much the centre of everything here in this country. So, over the years my love for the city grew more and more as days went by.

Hence, I'm proud to wear these tees wherever I may be. I love Kuala Lumpur too damn much, heh.
